HOME & HEARTH MAGICK: rooting into sacred spaceSunday, April 19th 2020 12pm-4pm
Living in Toronto can get hectic and leave us feeling stressed and un-grounded. Demanding jobs, family, small or shared spaces, noise, crowds and air pollution can challenge even the most calm and grounded among us to feel a sense of sanctuary in ourselves and our space. But there are many simple ways to create sanctuary- at home and at the office.
Our home is our anchor, container and shelter that nourishes us so we can do our work in the outside world. It is where we get rooted. Our home is where we should be able to relax, ground, feel safe & replenished. Some say the home is an extension or reflection of our inner self. It must feel like our own personal sanctuary that allows us to drop our masks and be our authentic selves so that we can successfully navigate the demands of our roles in the world. Our home- its structure and energy- has its own unique personality and needs, so it is important that we are in a harmonious relationship with it. As we take care of our home, it will take care of us.
Many factors influence the energy in our space- especially in urban settings, we have certain challenges to contend with- such as small spaces, shared spaces with roommates, neighbors, shared walls and apartments, noise and air pollution, demanding jobs, jobs requiring travel, working from our home, the demands of children, pets, families, etc.
Even with these variables, we can still create a sacred space that we call home and reflects our unique spirit! A space that helps relax and ground us into our body, uplifts our soul, kickstarts our creativity, inspires us to be our authentic self and manifest our dreams in the world.
This knowledge will also be transferable to your workspace, as many spend more time there than at home.
Join me to co-create a nourishing & inspiring afternoon exploring Home & Hearth Magick. We will explore ways of getting to know the energy of our home space, and how to create a better flow within it, using the 4 elements in various ways; Cleansing & protection practices; symbols; Astrology & numerology of the home; Flexing our intuitive muscles and more.
As a practicing Hearthwitch who has spent a lot of time and energy working from and nourishing others from her home base, I have complied a rich resource base for helping you bring more magic into your home or create a sense of sacred space and ‘home’ wherever you spend your time. We will explore the many topics below, and participants will receive notes and a take-home gift for their own Hearth. Tea and light snack provided.
“Less than a day after I started practicing advice from the Home & Hearth Magick workshop, the energy in a small transitional house I moved into changed. The negative energy in a living environment with six other women transformed into a more respectful, cooperative, and peaceful space. For the first time in two years, after battling breast cancer, this workshop helped me shape a house into living space that feels like home. I relearned how to listen to my heart and mind with self-compassion, to acknowledge the strength of my intuition, and to trust my heart and Spirit.” -Dani
