As cycles fluctuate or begin to cease, you may feel a vast array of emotions and you may find your relationship with your body prompting new embodied experiences such as shifts in your sexual life, exercise routine and more. It is a time of transformation, not only in one’s body but in relationships and within oneself. Perhaps there are some un-lived dreams that need to manifest, or a need to come to terms with letting go of certain roles or aspects of yourself that have served their purpose.

It is said that when our cycles stop, the sacred wisdom held in our blood is contained within us. As wisdom-keeper, it is a time to celebrate your achievements, resilience, and bringing your nurturing energy towards yourself.  Honor your inner authority, share your stories and wisdom with others.

It is also a time to give yourself the time and space you need to reclaim your power at this new stage of life. Transitions are challenging, as it is normal to feel grief, sadness or anxiety during this time. Not only is your body changing, but your mind and emotions too. 

It is a time of letting go and re-birthing. It is a time for embodying your power and inner wisdom.

Surgically-Induced Menopause & Healing after Hysterectomy:

Perhaps you are experiencing surgically-induced menopause from hysterectomy/Oophorectomy. You no longer have those painful, heavy periods. You may finally feel you have your life back. It was worth it. But even after you are ‘healed’ from the surgery, and have a clear bill of health from the doctor, you have some unexpected new feelings since having this surgery that have emerged and you would like some support. It is common to experience grief, depression, mood swings, or have a change in priorities after hysterectomy. Rather than brushing it off as simply a hormonal response, it can be helpful to validate your feelings and honor what feels is lost in order to embrace this new phase of life.

For some, menopause and perimenopause brings a new level of sensual awareness and freedom that can be expressed through movement. Our movement sessions will support your natural rhythm and pacing patterns that come from within, supporting your ability to trust in your own instincts and intuition.
