When it comes to work, care-giving and balancing priorities, it can become habitual to put our needs and desires at the bottom of the list. Over time, however, our mental and physical health suffers. Our suppressed needs build and catch us off-guard. We may find ourselves lashing out at loved ones, carrying resentment, living in a state of chronic stress or diminished ability to meet life’s demands.
