social service agencies

Are you working in a mental health or social service organisation? Would your clients, staff or co-workers benefit from grounding tools, stress-relief and self-care?

I offer:

Yoga for social workers:

Yoga & mindful movement classes which prevent burnout, boost energy and improve relations with clients.

Yoga for clients:

Trauma-informed, accessible, body-positive yoga classes that ease stress, improve self-regulation and boost self-esteem.

I have worked with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, people experiencing anxiety, depression and various forms of marginalisation, and the benefits of are often immediately apparent!

How can I help you?

As a certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor with 14+ years experience teaching yoga to diverse populations, and as a Social Service Worker, I have a great toolbox for adapting yoga, mindfulness and movement to trauma-affected people. I am available to teach at various organisations, schools, agencies, shelters, non-profits and yoga studios.

Trauma-informed yoga and mindful movement create a safe and supportive space that enhances internal resilience. With an emphasis on orienting to the present moment, gentle curiosity, self-compassion, accessible movements for all mobility levels, and choice/consent- a trauma-informed class is proven to be a helpful tool on one’s healing journey. Trauma-informed yoga has been clinically proven to help reduce PTSD symptoms.

The work you do is so important, and we all talk about self-care, but rarely do we give ourselves what we need. I can come to you and bring some much needed self-care time to your staff and/or clients.

“As I often tell my students, the two most important phrases in therapy, as in yoga, are “Notice that” and “What happens next?” Once you start approaching your body with curiosity rather than with fear, everything shifts.”
